On January 19, 2005, a highly respected panel from the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Judge Easterbrook, Judge Ripple, and Judge Sykes, reversed and remanded Luis Madrid's conviction for conspiracy to possess drugs.
In an unpublished opinion, the court stated that considerable hearsay evidence made the verdict unreliable. Reversed and Remanded. A big win! No time to celebrate until Luis is out of jail.
