Michael J. Petro Proves Police Made Illegal Search
On May 21, 2003, Michael J. Petro, Chicago criminal defense attorney, successfully defended Derrick Hamlin in a Bridgeview, Illinois court house. Mr. Hamlin was charged with possession of a handgun by a felon.
After a hotly contested hearing, Judge Wasilewski suppressed evidence obtained by the Chicago Police Department during an illegal search of Mr. Hamlin and his residence.
