On today's date, Alejandro Aguero won his freedom. In March 2005, Mr. Aguerro was arrested and held without bond by the Department of Homeland Security. Their intention was to deport Mr. Aguerro to Mexico, a country he had not lived in in 30 years.
The stakes were high as Mr. Aguerro had a job, a home, a wife, four kids and 5 grandchildren in Chicago, Illinois. Fortunately, Mr. Aguerro hired attorney Michael J. Petro to fight his case. In short, attorney Michael J. Petro was able to persuade the immigration court to cancel his deportation.
After the case, Mr. Aguerro's family had this to say about attorney Michael J. Petro:
"Thank you so much for everything. You are really
great at what you do, your the best, you have saved
our family from a very big grief especially my
brother, who needs needs my father very much......I
will always recommend you to any one who happens to
need of your services."
